We have an exciting role for an energetic and target driven individual to start their career in sales. Our client is a global manufacturer of a wide variety of industrial paints, coatings and metal pre-treatment products, and are looking to take on an Area Sales Executive to support the UK National Sales Manager in meeting or exceed sales targets and objectives within the North region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone in an internal sales or technical role looking to establish a successful sales career. 


Responsibilities: 
•    Conduct face-to-face meetings with new and existing customer base in accordance with department the key performance indicators. 
•    Plan relevant call objective for every customer meeting in line with customer needs, situation appraisal and business priorities. 
•    Have all available up to date information for call planning, sector, products, and services. 
•    Actively source new business opportunities within the designated territory across a wide platform of sectors and industries. 
•    Conduct product trials with customers from inception through to close working collaboratively with technical team. 
•    Consistently manage new business pipeline activity and update CRM system accordingly. 
•    Produce accurate and timely forecasting as required.  
•    Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events within designated territory. 
•    Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors. 
•    Prepare and present detailed analysis of the performance of your territory and customer base in sales meetings and across the business where needed. 
•    Ensure that prices and product lists are kept up to date. 
•    To proactively participate in sales drives and focus areas. 


Requirements: 
•    A customer focussed attitude with a drive to win new business. 
•    Some experience in a commercial or technical setting within the coatings or wider chemicals sector.
