Our Client is a global leader in coatings technology, who wishes to recruit a Technical Sales Manager for their High Performance Marine Coatings business unit. You will be acting as a sales and technical point of contact for their customers as well as ensuring high customer satisfaction within the busy marine segment.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for marine customer management, covering all aspects of sales account growth including sales strategy, integrated account planning, opportunity identification, and value communication.
• Responsible for growth of new accounts as well as focus on maintaining existing accounts
• Work with current customers and prospects to meet desired sales and service needs
• Interface with the marketing team to drive high value solutions leveraging the company portfolio
• Provide customer service and handle customer enquiries.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent type of experience)
• Experience in working in a marine environment preferably sales
• Candidates with previous/demonstrated customer contact skills are preferred.
• The role will require the candidate to follow up with our customers and form good connections with them in order to become a trusted supplier.
• The candidate will need very good communication, listening and influencing skills as well as the ability to advise customers where necessary
• When required, the candidate will need to spend time in dry-dock, to understand the technical implications of how ships are painted and maintained.
• The candidate should be able to develop project management abilities.
• The candidate should be able to follow up customer invoicing and collection.
